Just caught up with the reboot Star Trek 2009 and I have just one thing to say: WOW!!
The movie just blasts at you at warp speed with awesome thrills…what a roller coaster.
I mean this is how prequels should be, in other words JJ Abrams ROCKS!!!
The cast looks great, the storyline neat and well executed and leaves you wanting for more…I'm so pumped up now, I cant wait for the next installment.
I don’t really need to explain the story line, but...lets just say ...that the beginning of the best thrilling adventure starts here at the USS Enterprise….Live Long and Prosper!
The chemistry between Kirk and Spock is way cool…logic and rustic…they make for a great partnership. Even Nemo, the antagonist, is engaging.
One of my favorite bits was when young Kirk, the rustic Iowa kid drives his corvette over the cliff, not of course before escaping ...and as he clambers up from e edge..says to the cop " is there a problem?" woah!. Then when when asked for an ID responds "My name is James Tiberius Kirk."
Its was pretty clear till a while back that the Star Trek franchise was dulling out, JJ Abrams has not only revitalized it…but made it so much more engaging. This definitely is not taking away the credit of the original, but this is really special and a treat.
Chris Pine is very drool worthy and so is Zachary Quinto. Zoe Saldana as Uhura is so pretty! Chekov (Anton Yelchin) is cute and geeky. Only Sulu…was a bit flat.
With this movie the director is in full focus and has my respect :-)
This is an 8.5/10 for me and thank you for the entertainment.
