Being away towards the end of the last was nice, given that I was preluding the new year very, very far away from familiar territory. Sometimes you pick up some good eccentricities and ideas and they give you something akin to a booster shot that keeps you going for a while. But eventually, your cheer only depends on your ability to keep embracing what you know and what you have to keep knowing.
More often than not, I guess..an individuals madness...keeps him sane.

I saw 2 real nice movies since the 1st a) 3 idiots and b) Sherlock Holmes.
Both real high on the entertainment quotient front.
Holmes, got a complete revamp from the Basil Rathbone format I have known. Downey Jr does a mean job of the character and if it were not for the name...the title ...it would have been any other detective themed movie.
London...was that the London of Holmes time??? And look at Holmes and Watson...dont they look like vagabonds ....street smarties ?? Grimey!
The whole thing seemed larger than life...everthing about it had a superhuman quality...sets, the bumbling partner( Jude Law... you are yummy), the fights...the chase...
Then again this is Guy Ritchie's Holmes...not quite Doyle's ..
all in all it was an interesting take ,cant say it was a great take, but surely an engaging one
Its 6.5/10 for me...its a good watch.

Its really taken me a while to get into the groove again... I was enjoying my oblivion far too much...but things being the way they are....and one gets what ever one does--- a lifetime.
