A lot of talking !

A lot of talking !

Hello! Once again.... I guess it's interesting to just map my rebounds given the crazy breaks I take in between posts and all. Alls well sometimes and then not at all sometimes . That's one of the names of this crazy game of life.

This year if I might summarize was the year of " I'm seriously upset and am gonna do some seriously crazy stuff which I will regret! And no amount of reasonable talking is going to help me turn the other way " . Simply translating , this just means massive indulgences into " retail therapy"  when I'm particularly upset - which has been most of this year.

It's  not been a good year on many fronts, as you can gauge...excepting "one "significant one of course! But then- given the pseudo realist I am ( aka pessimist moonlighting as a realist).... it's not something I'm even thinking about or considering in the larger scheme of things that colored the canvas of the year this year. Which ideally I should- but I won't .

So, what now? More cribs ?
Guess not- whining never got any one anywhere- unless one was wining! (Ok that was a bad one). And then there is no point. I could keep grimacing. But it won't change anything.
The key therefore is wanting the change...knowing that change is needed. Knowing that mindless neuroticism though esoteric sounding... is self destructive and even the most hardened of pessimists , most jaded of people do not intend self destruction.
So QED , I do not either.

Addiction I think should be useful- to the old trusty habit of writing , reading, thing, martial arts....but damn u good habits- you never wield the all encompassing stranglehold that the bad habits do. Addiction to bad things is easy, to good things... well.
And that in my opinion is the difficulty of being good.

Clearly.... it's been a windy conversation this. And not got anywhere apart fr the usual, digression is the call of the hour.

I caught up with Talaash yesterday- along with old trusty Heartman.
Did I like the movie? 75% of me is inclined to say yes. 25% is swinging between ambivalence and no.
The movie is very engaging for sure- good bit of acting, reasonable script.... But once you get to the point where you know what's going on - that's when u start   getting less awed.

It's a good movie nonetheless- very engaging- never too overbearing. Watchable for some very good performances. Will I watch  it again is a good question. I might...
........

I watched a very interesting redux of the Sherlock Holmes TV series in its modern format on flight recently. And I must say I'm thoroughly impressed .
It airs on BBC One as Sherlock , is created by Steven Moffat ( Dr Who) and Mark Gatiss and stars the major eye pleasure Benedict Cumberbatch ( voice of Smaug the Dragon in The Hobbit and prime antagonist in the upcoming Star Treks second installment by JJ Abrams) and the not so hot but incredibly talented and soon to be seen as the key protagonist - Bilbo Baggins- in The Hobbit-  Martin Freeman. Two seasons it seems are done- and I caught one episode of the last season " a scandal in belgravia" .

It's really a wonderful contemporary take... addictive to!
I'm hoping I can see more of this one for sure!
