There is so much happening....Susan Boyle in the finals of Britons Got Talent, Ross Matthews new blog, finally getting my hands on the Watchmen,  watching Caramel last nite, Rolland Garros...i could go on.

First up though is Ross's blog...i kinda like that fruity guy. His finale on Jay Leno ( best of Ross ) was full of all the hilarious moments while covering events and celebs etc...I'm trying to find it on you tube...will put it up soon.

Over the last weekend , the B sent me a neat goody bag and with it came “Watchmen”. I have forever  wanted to read it, especially since it is an Alan Moore and considering that I really liked The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen. What I didn’t know, was that it’s apparently one of Time’s all time good reads. I’m done with about 50% of the book and I probably can guess why this book appeals. I’m kind of still ambivalent of psychological thrillers, those that mean to dig deeper into the idea of human thought and comprehension and the entire reality of our existence itself…naturally they do tend towards cynicism, I have no issues with cynicism's , its just the fact that there can be so much thought and complexity in life on a psychological level …it can get overwhelming.

The book paints the vulnerabilities of “ Super Heroes” and deconstructs them for us. At the end of it all…we hold nothing in awe .

Hmm

Maybe I’m weak, maybe I like my rose tinted glasses, I don’t know…but I do find myself unconsciously commenting : “ as if life isn’t tough enough already”. Sometimes, you are left with not much to believe in and/or question all that you believe in.

Then again its good to have perspectives I guess, its better to be in the know than not.
