It amazes me at times with what is happening at Singur.
Its probably a classic case of the difference in communism practiced in China vs India.
I hate to say this but its hard for me to see progress getting stalled the way it is. Clearly the benefits of a TATA Plant has far reaching positive consequences over the relocation and or rehabilitation of the residing people.
The other states , Im sure will more than welcome the auto plant .

I’m pretty sure if this was China…they would ensure that “Progress “was a priority …which is why despite being a communist country it’s managed to industrialize it self at such a scorching pace (albeit it has its own human rights issues, pollution etc to answer for).

Why is the greater benefit sacrificed for political mileage…why?
We as a country have such tremendous potential and aspiration to boot, yet we get waylaid.

Well, that's us and that's how it is here. Progress is the last thing politicans want for our country. Fill thy own pocket and fight for media mileage and let the nation bleed dry is the mantra they chant. And agree, that we are packed with potential, and its about time the leaders of the country tap it..
