I've always wondered abt this :
More often than not, goodness, greatness , belonging, ability, beauty...is only acknowledged by an affirmation by some authority.
The fact that there is so much paranoia, reluctance and sometimes the general animosity around us is astounding!
I mean is authority always right? And why shud anyone's potential or ability be subject to approval?
Also, for the faint of heart- this can be very destabilizing.
Not every one has the "I give a damn attitude" and just imagine how this world would be if it did!
