I've been watching some pretty senseless stuff over the last two weekends. But I ain't cribbing, coz my mind needed some space...and usually anything that does not make me think...suits the bill!
I caught up with The Confessions of a Shopaholic and Anywhere But Home...if I was anywhere in my right mind....I would not even bother writing about these two flicks....they were incredibly ludicrous, passably laughable, and I would not attempt to rate them.
But then, like I said, I saw them over some better alternatives...as a sort of an exempt from thinkville!
So, yes, consequently.... I laughed out at the silly misadventures, and heartman could definitely identify me with the compulsive shopper, Hugh Dancy was a dream ( I told heartman so, much to his dismay)...but all in all it was like being a kid again...laughing and rioting at everything.
Strangely so, I'm still not in any mood to be back to objectivity. I guess I rather stay blank for a bit.
My game on Sunday was a disaster...everything that could go wrong did, I stood out like a sore thumb in a team of superior performers....it was one of those really drag days playing itself out on my mood thru monday aswell...
Heck!
I'm still hooked on to Nick Gaiman, got more stuff to read, shud probably help.

I was watching the Real Hero's award on CNN IBN, yday...if you have not managed to catch it, I strongly recommend you do.
Its the sort of stuff that will inspire you, stuff that will make u weep, stuff that will remind you the there is goodness around and stuff that will make u believe in the triumph of the human spirit in the face of any odds.
I was truly stunned!
The Real Hero's award presented by Reliance Industries and CNN IBN, is given to those who have worked silently for many years in the area of overall human well being. They are awards given to those human legends who have changed the lives of many under privileged, some to the extent of offering a dignified burial or cremation to those dead who have passed away with out any one by their side, or offering to coach a team of kids in remote parts of the country...
I was truly touched by the stories of the 24 recipients...it reaffirmed my belief in the goodness of mankind...which while perishing, refuses to die out.

Another interesting bit of personality I found totally cool was Condoleeza Rice. One never really knew her during the Bush Admin day, but I saw her on. Jay's the other day...she was. Amazingly articulate and well versed.
Best bit... she likes Led Zep! Way cool!
