Its funny how fatigue can set u off by miles.
All I need to be is tired and bored and wham! 5kgs in the bag!!
Fatigue also retards u a bit, I find my self mumbling mumbo jumbo when my energy levels are down. Which reminds my of the walk man era, when the battery would begin to conk of, the tape wud moan.... I can get a bit like that.
Anyways,
I managed to catch up with Little Zizou last saturday... I chose it over Gran Torino. Hmmmm
Well, what do I say? To be perfectly honest, the movie disappointed me...it was sketchy, patchy....call it what you may...it just didn't add up.
But I could sense it well intended with a talented star cast, its just that some times, the best of ingredients cannot make a great dish....because the problem lies in the recipe.
I was hoping for so much more, I sorely missed listening and watching a good yarn.
The whole Zizou experience was akin to just going over to the neighbors, hanging around, doing nothing... generally engaging in conversation, going thru random magazine and generally just being.
It didn't leave any impact on me...
I was so looking forward to liking the movie...but it was not to be.
This is a 5/10 for me...and only specifically for the endearing artists.
-------
On a seperate note, i sorely miss the pleasure of long walks these days, it was something so intrinsic to me a few years ago and then competative vocation happened and the rest is history. Come to think of it, it gave me so much me time...so much space to block out and shut out things I needed to.
life comes a full circle.
