With a whole lot of realism doing rounds, Luck By Chance is another one in this endeavour.
So, I am trying to figure out if I am fatiguing of this genre already?
Maybe, then ....Maybe not , I mean in these times, its probably good to remain grounded and not get carried away by any merchant of fantasy. But then again, how do we lift ourselves from the dull and grimness of our times ?
Its complex ... as they say. That's life.
Nonetheless, Luck By Chance, is really a swell movie. The human drama peels it self away in layers...just like...erm... an Onion ?! and there is so much that one can really believe here... and that is important, to me as a viewer. You can definitely make out that the director is sensitive , has seen her way thru ...
There are many bits which endure... Zafar Khan, looking at his own image thru the car window, Shahrukh Khan talking abt the dizzying and insane impact of Fame ( and how not to let go of friends you knew at the bottom of the ladder), The way Neena Walia asks her manicurists of the going ons between Vikram Jaising and Nikki Walia and of course the character of Romi Rolly.
I could really go on...but like I said, its all in the perception of this movie.
The bad bit... the Music, it didn't work for me at all. But the Movie does, and its a great start to the year...wish this had come in January itself....
I think this is a 7/10 for me, you have got to see this one for sure.
